Dear AWS Community,
We are excited to introduce the combination of two popular features, Spot Instances and Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (Amazon VPC). Starting today, you can now bid for unused Amazon EC2 capacity and run those Spot Instances within Amazon VPC, potentially saving between 50%-66% less than the On-Demand price. In addition to this new feature, we have announced the following in the last month: S3 Server Side Encryption, CloudFront and Route 53 new edge location, reduced Route 53 pricing and more. In order to help developers get started on AWS, we have also released the Amazon Linux AMI 2011.09.1.
