AWS Direct Connect location in Las Vegas NV
We are thrilled to announce a new AWS Direct Connect location in Las Vegas NV as the Switch SUPERNAP facility. This is the second Direct Connect location supporting our US (Oregon) region, and brings the total number of locations to 14. If you have your own equipment running at Switch SUPERNAP, you can use Direct Connect to optimize the connection to AWS. If your equipment is located somewhere else, you can work with one of our APN Partners supporting Direct Connect to establish a connection from your location to a Direct Connection location, and from there on to AWS.
We are also excited to announce that AWS Direct Connect will be powering the Test Drive Pavilion at Re:Invent and an ongoing demo of Amazon WorkSpaces running on a collection of zero client ( PCoIP ) devices , as well as showcasing the AWS Management console vCenter plug-in that enables the transfer of VMware workloads into AWS over Direct Connect .
