AWS Elastic Beanstalk Supports Docker 1.9 and New Security Update

You can now use Docker 1.9 on your Docker environments managed by AWS Elastic Beanstalk. Visit here to learn more about deploying web applications from Docker containers with Elastic Beanstalk. 

Additionally, the Amazon Linux kernel has been updated and includes a security update that addresses a use-after-free vulnerability, CVE-2016-0728

To use Docker 1.9 or install the updated Linux kernel, you must upgrade your Elastic Beanstalk environments. Learn how to upgrade your platform configuration here
