Amazon ElastiCache now supports the R3 node family in AWS China (Beijing) and AWS South America (Sao Paulo) regions

You can now launch larger, more cost-efficient R3 nodes when using Amazon ElastiCache in AWS China (Beijing) and AWS South America (Sao Paulo). R3 nodes are optimized for memory-intensive applications and have the lowest cost per GiB of RAM among all Amazon ElastiCache node types.
