Deploy Ansible Tower on the AWS Cloud with New Quick Start

Posted on: Apr 22, 2016

This new Quick Start automates the deployment of Ansible Tower on the AWS cloud. Ansible is an IT DevOps tool that handles cloud provisioning, configuration management, application deployment, intra-service orchestration, continuous delivery, and many other IT processes. Ansible Tower is a web-based user interface for Ansible.

The Quick Start includes AWS CloudFormation templates, which automate the deployment. It also includes a deployment guide, which discusses the Ansible implementation in detail. The deployment guide provides step-by-step instructions for preparing your AWS account, deploying the software, signing up for a free, 10-host trial version of Ansible Tower, and managing Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) instances with Ansible Tower.

Quick Starts are automated reference deployments for key workloads on the AWS cloud. Each Quick Start launches, configures, and runs the AWS compute, network, storage, and other services required to deploy a specific workload on AWS, using AWS best practices for security and availability.
