Over-the-air updates, access to local resources, and OPC-UA industrial protocol adapter now available on AWS Greengrass

AWS Greengrass is a software that lets you run local compute, messaging, data caching, and sync capabilities for connected devices in a secure way. AWS Greengrass has three new features. First, AWS Lambda functions running on Greengrass Core devices can natively interact with the capabilities of the underlying host device, such as a camera, serial bus, or GPU so that Greengrass devices can more easily interact with their physical environments. Second, Greengrass can now use the popular industrial messaging protocol OPC-UA to communicate with other equipment, and customers can also easily create their own protocol adapters. Third, you can now remotely update the Greengrass Core software to take advantage of new features, bug fixes and security enhancements.
