Operation Overview
DateFinder
The DateFinder operation provides an easy way of determining if a specific item's historical pricing data is available. Given an item ID and year, the web service returns all available weeks, months and quarters for which historical pricing data is available.
ItemPriceLookup
The ItemPriceLookup is the primary operation sellers will use to retrieve historical pricing data.
- Specify the desired item ID(s) and date range(s) to receive historical pricing data. In any request, sellers may request up to ten item IDs over a given date range (week, month or quarter), or up to ten date ranges for a given item ID.
- For each item, ItemPriceLookup returns the minimum, maximum, median, and average price over the given date range, as well as the current Amazon.com sales rank and retail price.
- If the requested item varies widely in price and has high unit sales, the service returns a sales distribution by price range, along with additional statistics.
