Andy Jassy leads the Amazon Web Services business (AWS) and the Technology Infrastructure organization for Amazon.com. AWS is a subsidiary of Amazon.com that provides software developers and businesses with cloud-based infrastructure services that are inexpensive, reliable, scalable, comprehensive and flexible. As a member of Amazon.com’s senior executive team since 2002, Andy is also responsible for helping guide the company’s overall direction. He has held several key leadership positions since he joined Amazon in 1997. He authored the business plan for Amazon’s entry into the Music business and served as both its Director of Product Management and General Manager; started and built the Customer Relationship Management team; served as Director of Marketing; worked as Technical Assistant to Founder and CEO Jeff Bezos; and most recently, Andy started and continues to lead the Amazon Web Services business.
Andy earned his bachelor’s degree from Harvard University and his masters of business administration from Harvard Business School. He lives in Seattle and enjoys spending his free time with his wife and two children.

Anthony has led Bulletproof through several years of rapid growth, and it is now the fastest growing Tier 1
Managed Hosting and Cloud Services provider in the Australian market. Anthony runs the technology strategy,
corporate vision and direction of Bulletproof, and oversees the continuous infrastructure design and deployment
cycle required of leaders in this sector.
Tony Simonsen

As the Managing Director for Equinix Australia, Tony Simonsen is responsible for the overall performance of the company’s IBX centres in Australia. This includes increasing local and regional market share, profitability, and operational efficiency. Mr Simonsen has more than 20 years of leadership experience in the IT industry, having previously held a number of senior executive roles with companies such as Cisco and EMC.
Mr Simonsen joined Equinix in 2012 from global technology firm Pitney Bowes, where he was the Managing Director of Australia and also played a key role in building the Enterprise strategy across the Asia Pacific region. Over his time at Pitney Bowes, he was successful in driving transformational change in their mature markets and creating new revenue streams to enter new markets and ensure company sustainability.
Lane Patterson

Lane Patterson is Chief Technology Officer for Equinix. He runs network architecture and development projects for the company, including 10GigE switching platforms supporting BGP4 peering, ROADM-based metro optical services, emerging VoIP and SIP peering, and experimental IPv6 and Multicast exchanges.
Prior to joining Equinix, Mr. Patterson was Director of IP Network Management Systems for GlobalCrossing, Inc., where he contributed to tools development, event reporting, traffic measurement, and trending for a large-scale IP backbone and content distribution centers. During 1995-96, he served as a Data Communications Consultant at MFS WorldCom, where he managed installations and operation of the MAE-East exchange point and related Frame Relay and ATM services during an explosive growth stage.
Mr. Patterson received a B.A. in Physics from Cornell University and an M.S. in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University.

Bruce has overseen the contracting of more than 4000 Australian hotels within the first year, and is responsible for all commercial operations, contract negotiations, and both supplier and customer service within Hooroo. Prior to this, Bruce held the role of Regional Managing Director and VP International at Kelkoo.com, a leading European shopping search engine where he was responsible for the day to day operations of UK, Spain, and Italy as well as emerging global markets. David Salajan

(alpha) Community Portal and HubWorks! Child Care Management System where today he holds the position of Director and heads up product development and compliance.

Ruby completed a Business Degree at Ridell College and then joined the mining industry, working her way up through a range of administrative and management roles in several publicly listed mining companies. With over 10 years IT experience in infrastructure, systems architecture and cloud computing, Derek is responsible for having built the PhotoMerchant application in its entirety. Prior to co-founding PhotoMerchant Derek worked for an Australian federal government agency as an IT security advisor; responsible for managing the IT security of national critical infrastructure. Previously in his role at a leading digital agency Derek was responsible for designing, deploying and maintaining a mission critical platform for an international SaaS based software application. Derek has a Bachelor of Computer Science from the University of Wollongong.

Daniel has over fourteen years experience providing application and infrastructure architectural advice and professional services to Enterprise customers across Europe and Asia. Prior to joining Amazon Web Services, Daniel held positions of consulting practice lead and Solutions and Strategy manager within Red Hat.
Daniel has an MEng, Information Engineering and Computing Science at University of Oxford. He is currently based in Sydney Australia.
Joseph Ziegler

Joe started his life in Texas but began his career in Silicon Valley. Previously, Joe worked at Netscape developing some of the first e-commerce applications during the early days of the Internet. His next venture took him to NetGravity and his second classic Internet IPO. After that, he enjoyed building several startups from the ground up in the role of the technical executive responsible for building the company IP and managing the engineering groups. His most recent thriving venture is Iris Data Services, which landed on the "Forbes 500 Fastest Growing Companies in the US" list.
Joe started using cloud services in 2006 to create the infrastructure for Iris Data Services as the Director of Technical Services. Additionally, he worked with several enterprises developed on the cloud, including building his own company, IndexMedia, on Amazon Web Services. Now he has enthusiastically become an evangelist for Amazon, speaking about the services and features available to customers.
