The 2008-09-17 versions of the Amazon Simple Pay Getting Started Guide and Advanced User Guide.

This release introduces support for VPC in five AWS Regions, VPCs in multiple Availability Zones, multiple VPCs per AWS account, multiple VPN connections per VPC, Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 and Microsoft SQL Server Reserved Instances.

This is the initial release of AWS Direct Connect. This web service allows users to links their internal network to an AWS Direct Connect Location using a high-throughput physical connection in a data center. With this physical connection in place, users can create logical connections directly to the AWS cloud (Amazon EC2, Amazon S3, etc.) and Amazon VPC, bypassing Internet service providers in your network path.
