Amazon S3 provides file storage without a file system (folders) and EBS provides storage which is not redundant or elastic. For the first time Ghost CFS provides a complete file system (including WebDAV and ftp) over AWS.

Real network storage over AWS
We always had the problem that S3 has just files but no folders while EBS is neither elastic not redundant/highly available. Now we use Ghost Cloud File System to give us a complete network-mountable file system with standards such as WebDAV and ftp so we finally have the network storage we need within our own Amazon Web Services account. The Web Virtual Desktop is a cool idea too :-)
