Meetup helps groups of people with similar interests meet face-to-face to create local community. Our solution helps Meetup organizers bring money into their Meetup groups by making it easier for them to collect payments from their members.
Meetup is the world's largest network of self-organized clubs and community groups. Sometimes running a group costs money (renting a venue to hold the Meetup, buying supplies, etc), so we integrated with Amazon Flexible Payment Service to make it easier for Meetup organizers to collect payments from their members to attend their Meetup events. Organizers can set up Meetup events with fees and members can easily pay online for these events.
With this solution, Meetup organizers can now: optionally require that members pay in order to RSVP for their events; see every member's payment status; view and edit detailed transactional information for all their Meetup events; and issue individual and bulk refunds with just one click...all without leaving Meetup.com.
Meetup members, meanwhile, can see their payment status for their events, see their transaction histories, and request refunds...all without leaving Meetup.com.
