Fabulous Site
I've been using Phanfare for years now, and even bought a subscription to the service for my sister. Love it. I'm just a casual point-and-click person, but I want to share my photos with friends and family online, and Phanfare has the best display options I found. I've even looked at others since becoming a customer, but Phanfare is still the best. It's also incredibly easy to upload photos and even do a bit of tweaking to them to make them look as good as possible. Phanfare also has great customer service. There are multiple ways to contact them, and they always respond quickly. It's great. I'm definitely a satisfied customer.

Phanfare phor life!
I'm a pretty critical customer, I can nitpick with the best of them. I typically don't write reviews unless I absolutely love a product or service or absolutely hate one. I am happy to report that this is one that I can not live without. It just feels good to know you were smart enough to go with a winner. I have never looked back, no regrets at all. I researched the options pretty thoroughly at the time (3-4 years back), there were some decent solutions. But this one was easy to use and therefore quick to accomplish what I wanted. There were more glamorous presentation options but I don't really have time to gussy up my albums any way. Since Phanfare's simple presentation is very nice, it was enough (and they've even made it better over time). It still remains very simple to use. I love the Phanfare people, they are very intelligent (always understand complex requests and comments) and are very open minded. They are good business people and have a passion for photography. They are intimate with their customer base through forums and blogs. They feel like family to me. I have complete confidence in them, with my most important investment, my life's experiences via photography. They seem to have my best interests in mind as they continue to enhance the product with features such as integration to facebook and flickr, dropbox which allows friends to drop pictures to your albums, photo printings services, raw file support, subsite hierarchical organizational structuring to isolate who sees what, etc. Phanfare has had some bumps along the way, but the customers expressed voiced their concerns and opinions and the Phanfare folks actually listened and brought things back to my 100% satisfaction. Again, I could not be happier with my investment. I'm a Phanfare customer for life!

Simply the ebst
In simple words, it is simply the best photo sharing site with simple to use options and online and offline user interface. there are a few customization and other small features that are needed but it is simply the best with the current options they have.

No ads, great support & easy to use
I have now used Phanfare for a couple of years and I love it. With my closest family being 1000 miles away Phanfare makes it easy for me to share pictures with them. With having both a web interface and a downloadable client it makes it easy to upload and edit my photos and the support staff is always quick to answer if you have a question.

Best solution for backing up photos
Phanfare is the perfect solution for backing up photographs. We learned our lesson after losing several months of pictures from our daughter's first year of life when our hard drive fried. I tried backing up on DVDs and storing them in a fireproof safe, but it was time-consuming, expensive, and resulted in tons of DVDs cluttering up our safe. An external hard drive was expensive and wouldn't help us if we had a break-in or fire or something. Now, I download all of our pictures into folders by month, then at the end of every month, I upload all of them to Phanfare (also organized by month). I can just select the whole month's folder to upload, so it takes me all of thirty seconds to do my part, then I just let Phanfare work in the background uploading them all to the web. It's so comforting to know these pictures are safe off-site, and I can order them or download the full resolution versions anytime I need to. I currently have five years worth of pictures on there, and will soon start scanning old photos as well as uploading new ones. This was such an easy, inexpensive option for backing up photos, all the other features are just gravy... our family lives all over the world, and they love that they can log in every month and see our pictures (takes some pressure off of me to send pictures to everyone!) And when my kids have a play date or something, the other mom can log in and download the pictures. Customer service is good, and it feels like the company really cares what its customers think. I didn't like when they briefly went to making everyone sign up for an account to view my albums, but luckily that has gone away, so now I can just easily share out albums again. I just hope they stay in business FOREVER, because they have all my pictures :)

Shoot, Save, Savor, and Share
Years ago I read about some guys from Stanford who developed some fairly sophisticated technology for sharing photos online. After an obligation-free (they don't force you to give up credit card info for a test drive) trial I was hooked. It's easy to upload photos and start writing captions right away. Friends and family love the slideshows personalized with my own audio files. Templates provide plenty of choices for special occasions and seasonally themed albums. The PC and Mac client software are easy to download, install, and use. I enjoy the highly flexible structure for sharing albums, creating groups, publishing, and tracking online views. They've got plug-ins for popular photo manipulation software applications, an iPhone app, and many more options. Online help covers most issues, but customer service is responsive if needed. Pricing is reasonable. Phanfare is phantastic.

Phanfare--a great place to share & store photos and videos
Several years I set out to investigate photo storage and sharing services. After reviewing the options, I settled on Phanfare, and have never looked back. The things I like about Phanfare include: a. They store full-sized originals and full-size originals can (optionally) be shared with others b. Their image display slideshow includes (optionally) both background music and the wonderful "Ken Burns" effect that is so much more interesting than seeing a static slideshow c. They have the ability to display videos d. There are many ways of customizing things, including locking down your albums with a password e. They have a great iPhone app, Photon, which can be used both for display and uploading images f. There are desktop apps for Mac OS X and Windows as well as a web-based client. Between those and the iPhone app, there are many ways to get photos onto the site and to view them g. A robust and active user forum exists h. The company is quite responsive, both for tech support and to suggestions from the user base Check them out; you'll be glad you did! There are places out there that claim to store photos for "free," but there's always a catch. You get what you pay for!

Awesome Photo & Video Sharing
I have been a long time Phanfare user, since the beginning, and have always been happy with the full-size file storing, add-free, simple yet very pleasing photo/video sharing website. Another continued plus for me, is knowing that all of my photos and videos are back-up remotely by Amazon's S3 servers. I take between 50-100 photos a day and it is great to know that all of them are all backed-up through my Phanfare account. As a long time user, I have experienced many changes over the years - but in the end they have always listened to their dedicated users/fans and have always provided us what we needed/wanted. I would definitely suggest that anyone who is looking for an amazing photo & video share site go with Phanfare; and I do so whenever I have the chance. I should mention...the founder & tech support are also very awesome! The are quick to reply to any question or problem that you may have.

Phanfare Photo is Exceptional
You can't go wrong selecting Phanfare as a Photo sharing Website. They have a superior presentation of your work. The best there is! Their slideshow is the best in the industry as you can add your own music to the show. Using their desktop app your albums are created for viewing almost instantly, while the full size images are uploaded in the background. And all of this with a clean, add free viewer interface.

Very good service and great support
I have been a long time member and I have always been happy that I invested my time and money into this. It has addressed all my requirements like video upload together with photos. The features that I really like are the slideshow (with music), screensaver for both mac and pc, and of course photon (the iphone app). With the photon, I could easily pull any album from the cloud and show my family and friends. No matter how big my collection is, photon would allow me access to any album, while I am connected(online). Support has been very quick to respond to problems, queries, or even to suggestions to new features.

Easy to Use. All the Tools You Need
I have been extremely pleased with Phanfare. I'd been using free services for a couple of years before I finally got tired of them changing their terms or going out of business so I decided to purchase a service. I was looking for a site that would allow me easily to make slideshows and would allow me to upload my own music for them. I wanted unlimited storage and public access to my slideshows. Phanfare gives me all of that and more for a very reasonable price. I can also upload video and include in the the slideshow. I can upload photos online or through a desktop application. I love that they are integrated with the Eye-Fi card. My photos are now automatically uploaded to the site so I just have to go and add captions, edit red eyes or fix exposure issues, add my music and publish the slideshow. I would like to see more robust digital scrapbooking tools but considering the price for the service, I can't complain. And they actually listen to their customers. A really solid product and company at a great price.
