Chinswing.com is a new voice-based message board that combines features of podcasting, text message boards, and live voice chat. By adding voice messages to topical discussions, users can share similar interests with others. Using this "asynchronous" method of audio messaging, the conversations evolve over hours, days or even weeks.
It addresses the limitations of other forms of internet communication. Text forums lack the personal and emotive qualities of voice, while live chat products such as Skype (including Skypecasts) require users to be online concurrently (it's not an easy task to organise global interest/discussion groups!).
The Chinswing interface provides a clean and simple way to navigate and visualise audible discussions. These discussions can be played from the Chinswing website or downloaded to computers and mp3 players, such as the iPod™, using RSS feeds and existing podcast technologies.
