Excellent software
CloudBerry online backup is an excellent and simple software for implementing backups online to the Amazon S3 cloud. In our site it has replaced may bulky software. The management of bucketts in the cloud is simple and fast. The software needs to mature in order to be able to backup networked drives, the only limitation we have found.

CloudBerry Online Backup for WHS
I've just installed Cloudberry Backup for WHS and first impressions are very positive. It integrates into WHS as a very polished add-in. The options are many, and it's very easy to navigate. I've been able to setup 2 backup jobs without any issues at all. The S3 storage from Amazon goes hand in hand with this product and is a great introduction to Cloud(berry) storage!

WHS Solution? Stop searching
I spent several months looking for a solution to backup my Windows Home Server share files off-site. In my home we have 4 desktops and 3 laptops. I also tunnel into my WHS from work on a 5th desktop as well as from school. Only one of the machines in the house stores local files, our WHS is VERY important and has priceless data on it. An electrical storm hit, fire or flood would be devastating. Tax records, family photos, my Master's thesis research, etc, would be lost. Manually backing up once a week to an external drive is not an option. I tried the HP version of online backup and it would often pause for several days and stop working, only backing up files a few times a month. It would also not backup open files. So, leave a word document open overnight and it stays off the backup and freezes the process. I downloaded cloudberry a few days ago and the past 3 nights have been flawless. It even sends me an email when the backup is complete! Before I had to go into the console and see if the HP version has backed up or not. At $29, this program is a STEAL. I'd pay hundreds for the piece of mind offered. I lost a drive once on the WHS and almost lost the entire machine with the most recent backup being 3 months old. I will never forget the sour feeling in my stomach as I realized just what was on the server, and how 80% of it was impossible to replace or restore. Luckily the WHS rebuilt the data over 6 hours and I swapped in a good spare drive, but I went through a roll of tums and five shots of whiskey that day. Save yourself that feeling, support Cloudberry for the modest $29 and sleep peacefully, as well as get the full use from your WHS.

Your search for the best backup utility is over...
I use Windows Home Server (and am a big fan of it), but options for off-site data backup have been very limited from the start. One of Cloudberry's competitors initially offered a "beta" plugin for use with S3, but it was terribly limited in configuration options and support has since been withdrawn by the company. I've since tried every other backup option for WHS, but Cloudberry's most recent entry into the market brought my search for the perfect backup solution to an end. Cloudberry offers a full-featured WHS backup plugin that looks every bit as polished as it is a joy to use. Backups can be scheduled and set to run automatically, with email notifications of their status; drive extender is fully supported; you can configured white lists, black lists, etc., to backup or ignore certain file types; and Cloudberry saves in a format that is fully readable to other S3 applications. On top of that, support from Cloudberry is phenomenal...staff is always hanging around their support forum, and emails to company staff never went longer than mere hours before I would receive a reply. Truly an A+ operation all around. I love Cloudberry Backup!
