RainStor
The RainStor service enables companies to send an unlimited amount of inactive data from databases or event logs to a hosted storage platform where it can be searched and analysed on demand. Unlike traditional methods of storing and managing structured data using databases or data warehouses, RainStor is simple, low-cost, and administration free.
RainStor compresses data by 40x or more before transferring data files to private archives in S3 cloud storage, delivering rapid load times. RainStor also supports immediate and full SQL access to the archived data via industry standard reporting tools and interfaces using the elastic compute power of EC2. In addition, the service guarantees that data is secure and protected at all times, with state-of-the-art encryption.
