Announcing on-demand support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux on Amazon EC2

We are excited to announce that customers can now purchase supported instances of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 and 6 in Amazon’s Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) in an on-demand, pay-as-you-go basis. By running Red Hat Enterprise Linux on Amazon EC2, customers can leverage the cost effectiveness, scalability and flexibility of running on Amazon’s infrastructure together with the reliability, superior up time and support from Red Hat.

Customers who run Amazon EC2 wit Red Hat Enterprise Linux will have the option of running several versions of the software, and will be supported by via Amazon Web Services Premium Support with back line support from Red Hat. The offering will be extended to all regions, availability zones, and instance types supported by Amazon. Red Hat Enterprise Linux instances will integrate seamlessly with all existing features in Amazon EC2, including Amazon Elastic Block Store (EBS), Amazon CloudWatch, Elastic IPs and Elastic Load Balancing.
