Ariel Kelman

Ariel Kelman, Head of Global Marketing, AWS

Ariel Kelman joined Amazon Web Services in 2011 and is responsible for leading the company's worldwide marketing efforts. He is responsible for the go-to-market strategy, partner network, content, and messaging. Since joining AWS, Kelman has made use of AWS’s services to run digital campaigns and to collect and analyze data to improve the performance of his team. Prior to joining AWS, he was responsible for platform product marketing at salesforce.com. He also co-founded and ran marketing for Ventaso, a venture-backed SaaS start-up in San Francisco. He earned his bachelor's of arts in economics from the University of California at Berkeley.




Chris Cocca

Chris Cocca, Global eCommerce Manager, Four Seasons

Chris Cocca is the Manager of eCommerce for Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. His responsibilities include overseeing the global eCommerce activities and product management of Fourseasons.com.

Chris has 8 years of digital experience on the brand and agency sides of the hospitality, tech, media and not-for-profit industries, focusing on user experience design, digital marketing and product management.

Before joining Four Seasons, Chris worked at the digital agency Big Spaceship as a senior strategist and user experience lead, working on digital marketing platforms and product design for clients including Google, Microsoft, Urban Daddy and General Electric.

Chris holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Ryerson University and a Masters of Information Studies from the University of Toronto.




Vikram Somaya

Vikram Somaya, VP Global Operations and Audience for the Consumer Media Division of Thomson Reuters

Vikram Somaya currently serves as VP, Global Operations and Audience for the Consumer Media Division of Thomson Reuters. In this role he manages revenue operations, ad operations, research, analytics, audience data and monetization for the family of global Reuters.com sites. Prior to moving into the publishing world, Vikram served as Managing Director, Strategic Partnerships at BlueKai . Vikram has spent most of his 13 year career in the start-up world having served in various business development, strategic partnership and operations roles at Phorm, Operative, Audience Science and Primary Knowledge after starting out in the ad agency world at Cliff Freeman and Partners. He currently serves on the advisory boards of six ad technology firms.




Gregg Freishtat

Gregg Freishtat, CEO, Scribit

Gregg Freishtat is a technology executive with nearly 20 years of experience leading innovative and transformative companies. He founded three venture-backed start-ups, all of which had successful exits. Deeply rooted in venture capital and management, he has led several companies through acquisition and has had a hand in developing disruptive technologies in convergence of telecom/internet, personal finance/online banking, web based analytics and now digital media/online marketing.

Freishtat is an active private equity investor, is the inventor on 10 patents, and has served on many BOD’s including: Telet, Proficient Systems, VerticalOne, Vertical Acuity, Marketworks, Relevant Knowledge, OutWeb, Camp Kudzu, Jewish Federation, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, S1, USA.net and others. Freishtat is also a frequent speaker at technology venues including Internet World, Comdex, MIT Forum, Venture Atlanta, American Banker, and many others.

Freishtat received an undergraduate degree from Boston University and was awarded his J.D. from the University Of Maryland School Of Law.




Chris Hartman

Chris Hartman, Senior Consultant, CITYTECH, Inc.

Chris has over 18 years of experience in consulting, software development and training. His experience spans the complete project life-cycle in industries including insurance, government, manufacturing, warehousing and shipping. As a hands-on architect and team lead, he provides clients with expertise in cloud strategy, distributed architectures, rich internet applications, object-oriented analysis, design and implementation and agile project management.

Over the past years, Chris has focused on architecting and leading large-scale web content management implementations using the Adobe CQ5 web experience platform. Chris has brought many best practices related to enterprise architecture and agile project management techniques to large-scale web content management enabling him to execute projects that are on budget, on schedule as well as over delivered.




Eric Holmen

Eric Holmen, Senior Vice President of Marketing, Silverpop

A 20-year marketing veteran, Eric Holmen brings deep experience and powerful vision to his role as the leader of Silverpop's marketing efforts. With a unique combination of superior strategy development capabilities and exceptional operational planning skills, Holmen is focused on helping Silverpop and its customers achieve new levels of marketing success.

Prior to joining Silverpop, Holmen was the senior vice president of the wireless division of The Marketing Arm, an Omnicom company. He also served as president of mobile marketing firm SmartReply and in leadership roles in consumer marketing at Sears and at marketing technology firm Catalina Marketing. In addition, Holmen has co-authored three books focused on mobile marketing.

Holmen earned a bachelor's degree in management from the University of Redlands and an advanced certificate from Massachusetts Institute of Technology on Innovation and Strategy. He has been awarded four patents for marketing and technology process.




Michael Gatzke

Michael Gatzke, Vice President of Network, Grab Media

Michael Gatzke, VP of Network for Grab Media, is a strategic business executive with more than 20 years of leadership experience in both mature and high growth companies. He is skilled in building business by identifying the market opportunity, crafting a vision, developing core strategies, hiring and training talent, and leading high-performing teams.

Michael's expertise is in strategic planning, product and corporate development and positioning for media companies, business development and direct response marketing. Michael was a consultant in McKinsey & Company's Media Practice where he worked for clients like PBS, NPR, Intelsat, Discovery, and Verizon Superpages. He left McKinsey to help AOL build their own internal consulting practice and later joined StoneAcre Partners where he ran the Official NASCAR Members Club.

Michael has a BA in Physics and Mathematics from Johns Hopkins University and an MA and a Ph.D. in Physics from Princeton. Prior to his work in the media space, Michael was a Research Fellow at NIST where he developed the prototype for the Atomic Clock that is the current time standard for the US and before that was a Lecturer and Research Associate in the Physics Department at the University of Virginia.




Will Rompala

Will Rompala, Vice President of Production Systems, Kantar Media

Will has been exploiting technology to produce real business benefit for more than 20 years. Currently he is responsible for the technology platforms that digitally collect and collate all Internet Display, Online Video, Paid Search, Magazine, Newspaper, Tablet and Outdoor Advertising for Kantar Media. Prior to Kantar Media, Will was responsible for building out the technology team as VP of Development at Pointroll, leading all technical operations as Chief Technology Officer at iPipeline, creating a brand new fund management platform as VP of Technology at Corviant Corporation and leading the migration to web based application development as Vice President of Distributed Systems at JPMorgan.

Will has been seen in print as contributing author to two books and various print magazines on software development and has been heard lecturing on a diverse set of topics related to software development and project management.




Dan Mallinger

Dan Mallinger, Data Science Team Lead, Think Big Analytics

Dan Mallinger is a data enthusiast and Data Science Team Lead at Think Big Analytics. His experience in Big Data and Hadoop has run the gamut of customer data, hardware networking data, social data, gaming data, and more. Dan's work in these verticals includes research, analysis, and parallelization of techniques. In prior lives he has worked as a statistician in a variety of settings including research in K-12 education, has experience architecting systems, and was briefly a high school math teacher.




Marcel Boucher

Marcel Boucher, Senior Technical Marketing Manager, Adobe

Marcel Boucher is a Senior Technical Marketing Manager at Adobe. For over 15 years, he has worked in various capacities within Adobe including engineering, presales support and corporate evangelism. Marcel’s core competencies are enterprise application development and architecture. Since Adobe’s acquisition of Day, Marcel as shifted his focus to the Web Experience Management space.
