AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) Users can now sign in to the AWS Management Console

Posted on: Feb 14, 2011
We are pleased to announce that the AWS Management Console now supports Users created via AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM). IAM Users can now sign in to the console and manage services and resources under your AWS Account. IAM Users can be assigned individual Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) devices to provide additional security for their access to the console. IAM can also be used to grant permissions to services and APIs an IAM User can access. For more information about IAM User sign in, see Using the AWS Management Console in the Using IAM guide.
