We are excited to announce support for Windows Server 2012 on Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) and AWS Elastic Beanstalk.

Starting today, you can launch Windows Server 2012 EC2 instances in all AWS Regions and across all EC2 instance types. Windows Server 2012 is available at the same price on Amazon EC2 as the earlier versions of Windows Server. Eligible customers can even launch Windows Server 2012 for free under the terms of the AWS Free Usage Tier. We have published Windows Server 2012 Amazon Machine Images (AMIs) with support for Microsoft SQL Server 2012 and 2008 R2 (Express, Web and Standard Editions). To get started, you can access the AMIs via the AWS Management Console and AWS AMI Catalog.

AWS Elastic Beanstalk allows you to focus on building your application, without having to worry about the provisioning, deployment, monitoring and scaling details of your applications. Elastic Beanstalk already supports Java, PHP, Python, Ruby and Windows Server 2008 R2 based .NET applications. Starting today, Elastic Beanstalk will also support Windows Server 2012 based .NET applications. You can conveniently deploy your applications from Visual Studio or the AWS Management Console.
