This stack provides a pre-loaded Ubuntu server with Apache HTTPD, PHP, and PostgreSQL. It includes Apache HTTPD 2.4, PHP 5.5, and PosgreSQL 9.3 on Ubuntu 12.04.

A widely used language, PHP offers general purpose scripting that is well suited for Web development. It can be embedded into HTML, and is compatible with all major operating systems such as Linux, many Unix variants, Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, RISC OS and more. It works with most major Web servers. PHP drives many top content management applications such as Wordpress, Drupal, and Joomla. PHP applications are commonly run in Apache HTTPD Server. PostgreSQL is provided for local data storage.
