Amazon Direct Connect is one of the best ways to provide low latency and high performance connectivity into the Amazon cloud. This can be achieved by allowing the provision of physical fiber from the customer's location or datacenter into AWS Direct Connect points of presence.

With any physical infrastructure deployment, there a constant risk of hardware failure and single point of failure (SPOF) avoidance is always recommended. This Webinar will given an overview on AWS Direct Connect redundancy methods and techniques including redundant physical fibers, redundant BGP sessions for both active/active and active/passive deployments as well as other best practices including Bidirectional Forwarding Detection (BFD) configuration.

To attend this webinar it is suggested that Partners have a working knowledge of VPC, EC2, general networking and an understanding of routing protocols.

Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (Amazon VPC) lets you provision a logically isolated section of the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud where you can launch AWS resources in a virtual network that you define. You have complete control over your virtual networking environment, including selection of your own IP address range, creation of subnets, and configuration of route tables and network gateways.

In this introductory webinar we are going to jump into the components that make up a VPC and show you how to configure your first VPC from IP Addressing to Internet and Datacenter connectivity and everywhere in between.

AWS is a natural complement to Application containers due to the wide range of scalable infrastructure services upon which containers can be deployed. AWS Elastic Beanstalk, AWS OpsWorks, and Amazon EC2 Container Service (Amazon ECS) all have integrated support for Docker containers. Amazon ECS is our latest service intended specifically for the high volume deployment of application container based workloads in the cloud. Amazon ECS provides several key features, such a container scheduler and a container manager, which facilitate and orchestrate large-scale deployments of thousands or tens of thousands of containers across clusters of EC2 hosts.

Learn about application containers, which AWS service meets your container-related needs, and how EC2 Container Service can simplify your application container infrastructure management.
