This webinar is the third part of a three part series: a deep dive on implementing Disaster Recovery (DR) on AWS. Since each webinar focuses on specific architectures, you can still benefit if you are able to attend only one or two. Cloud computing provides unprecedented capacities to build highly sophisticated architectures for DR, due to the fundamental nature of features like elasticity, scalability, scriptable infrastructure and geographic distribution. Implementing DR using AWS architectures can result in up to a 90% cost reduction and up to a 70% reduction in recovery time compared to conventional DR sites.

Part Three:

In this session, we will dive deep into Warm Standby and Multi-Site Architecture. We will discuss this architecture in depth, as well as best practices, tools, and techniques get the most out of them.

The amount of data that enterprises generate and need to protect continues to grow year over year. AWS offers several services that can help enable the effective, secure backup of that data in the cloud. In particular, S3 and Glacier can be used for low cost, durable archival workloads. In this intermediate level webinar, we will explore methodologies for enabling off-site backup workloads in a hybrid scenario as well as cross-region replication options from within AWS.

Today, many web architectures rely on a web/application tier to facilitate routing user requests and serving content. With AWS there are opportunities to re-invent how your application stack looks and actually remove or significantly scale down your application tier, while maintaining high availability and reducing your total infrastructure costs. Come join us as we discuss zero tier architecture and how you can use services like our Javascript SDK, S3, CloudFront, Route53, SQS, and more to implement highly available low cost application tiers.

With AWS, you have the flexibility to process batch data and real-time stream processing. Amazon Kinesis allows you to process real-time data at a massive scale. You can easily send data to a variety of other services such as Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3), Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon Redshift, and Amazon Elastic MapReduce service. Integration between these AWS services create a “Lambda Architecture” that provides a unified view of real-time and historical data. This webinar will demonstrate how to perform real-time processing using Amazon Kinesis and integrate this data with both Amazon Elastic MapReduce and Redshift warehouse.
