New Features

Change Description

Cost Allocation Tagging

Support for Cost Allocation Tagging -- which you can use to label your AWS resources so you can more easily track your costs against projects or other criteria -- has been added to the SDK for Amazon CloudFormation, Amazon RDS and Amazon S3.

Amazon RDS Updates

We have updated support for Amazon RDS to the most recent version of the web service API, which adds the following features:

  • RDS instances running in VPC.
  • Read Replicas for MySQL instances in Amazon VPC.
  • MySQL support for db.t1.micro DB instances.
  • Microsoft SQL Server support.
  • Microsoft SQL Server support for the Database Engine Tuning Advisor.
  • SQL Server Agent support.
  • Support for forced failover features for Oracle and MySQL, as well as additional features for Oracle.
  • Support for option groups. The option to be supported with this release is Oracle Enterprise Management Database Control.
  • Cost Allocation Tagging.
  • Request signing with Signature V4.
