This release enables you to export data from the AWS Cloud to your storage device that you mail to AWS. To implement this functionality, we added new manifest parameters and a new e-mail command, CREATE EXPORT PLAN. Now you can take advantage of Amazon's high speed, internal network to quickly download data onto your storage devices.

New Feature

Now we can load (export) data from the AWS cloud onto one or more storage devices that you mail to us. The export functionality works similarly to the import functionality: you use e-mail commands, manifest files, and SIGNATURE files to create export jobs.
New Feature To implement the export functionality, we added new manifest file parameters. These parameters enable you to specify the target directory on the storage device(s) where we load the data, export from multiple buckets, and constrain the amount of data exported from each bucket.
New Feature This release introduces a new command, CREATE EXPORT PLAN. This command creates multiple manifest files when you mail to AWS Import/Export two or more storage devices (because the data to download exceeds the capacity of a single storage device). You attach the generated manifest files to CREATE JOB e-mails. CREATE EXPORT PLAN makes it easy to create multiple manifest files for one export job.
