Amazon Elastic Load Balancing now includes HTTPS Support.
This feature allows you to leverage the SSL/TLS protocol for encrypting traffic and offload SSL processing
from the application instance to the load balancer. This feature also provides centralized management of
SSL server certificates at the load balancer, rather than managing certificates on individual application
instances.
For more information about HTTPS Support, go to https://aws.amazon.com/elasticloadbalancing/. |
Known Issues
| Issue | Description |
|---|---|
| Certificate upload failure with Microsoft Internet Explorer | Customers who use Microsoft Internet Explorer to upload their SSL certificates via the console might encounter failures in certain situations. The recommended workaround is to use a different browser, such as Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome. |
| Any attempt to register a paid AMI as an instance behind a load balancer will fail. | At this time, you cannot use Elastic Load Balancing with instances running Amazon EC2 paid AMIs. |
