Release: AWS Direct Connect on 2011-08-03
This is the initial release of AWS Direct Connect. This service allows users to link their internal network to an AWS Direct Connect Location using a high-throughput dedicated connection in a data center. With this dedicated connection in place, users can create logical connections directly to the AWS cloud (Amazon EC2, Amazon S3, etc.) and Amazon VPC, bypassing Internet service providers in your network path.
