Amazon Mechanical Turk on 2008-11-04

These release notes provide a summary of all New Features, Resolved Issues, and Known Issues in this version of the Amazon Associates Web Service . For changes made in previous Amazon Associates Web Service versions, go to http://aws.amazon.com/resources.

We deprecated two APIs from our Requesters Web Service: GetWorkerAcceptLimit and SetWorkerAcceptLimit. With this release you can no longer set the accept limit. Amazon Mechanical Turk enforces a global limit of ten assignments per worker at any one time.

We also added a new system qualification, Worker_ NumberHITsApproved, and removed the Work on HITs option from the search HITs result page.

Known Issues

IssueDescription
Cannot disable retry delay for a Qualification type once enabled. There is currently no way to disable Qualification retries for Qualifications that have a set retry delay. A previous release introduced the ability to add a retry delay to a type that doesn't have one, or modify the delay if it does. Once a Qualification type has a retry delay set, then retries are permanently enabled for it.
Cannot remove a test from a Qualification type. There is currently no way to remove a Qualification test from a Qualification type that has one. A previous release introduced the ability to configure a Qualification type to automatically approve Qualification requests instead of using a Qualification test. Because tests cannot be removed from an existing type, a Qualification type with a test cannot be re-configured to use the auto-approval feature.
SearchHITs can include duplicate HITs in results. The SearchHITs API may return a HIT more than once in the results if there are more than 100 active HITs created by the caller when using a sort property other than Enumeration.
