New Features

Feature Description
New Region Amazon CloudWatch now supports the new US-West (Northern California) Region. The new endpoint is https://monitoring.us-west-1.amazonaws.com. Users should download the new version of the command line tools from http://developer.amazonwebservices.com/connect/kbcategory.jspa?categoryID=88. The previous version of the command line tools will continue to work, but will use the legacy naming convention for the endpoints. For more information, see the Amazon CloudWatch Developer Guide.

Known Issues

Issue Description Impact
1 Amazon CloudWatch is a feature of Amazon EC2. You must be signed up for Amazon EC2 in order to use the AWS Management Console.
2 No custom date range. AWS Management Console does not allow you to provide custom date range values. The Amazon CloudWatch web service API and Command Line Tools can be used to retrieve data using custom date range values.
