Release: Amazon Elastic MapReduce on 2010-10-19
This is a significant upgrade of Elastic MapReduce to support expanding and shrinking the number of nodes on a running cluster.

| Resize running job flow | Elastic MapReduce now supports
adding and removing the number of cluster nodes for a running job flow.
Existing job flows and command line scripts making calls to service APIs are
backwards compatible with these architectural changes.
Note: You need to update the Elastic MapReduce Command Line Interface to resize running job flows and modify instance groups. |
