New Features

Amazon S3 - Response Header Overrides

You can use this new feature in Amazon S3 to control the response headers you receive from Amazon S3. For example, if you want to download an object from your bucket, but force it to have a different Content-Disposition reported when downloaded, you can set the Content-Disposition response header in your request, and Amazon S3 will override any previous value of Content-Disposition for that object and send back what the value you requested. Note that this does not change the Content-Disposition stored by Amazon S3 for that object, it only affects a single request.

Amazon S3 - List Multipart Uploads Parameters

Two new parameters (delimiter and prefix) allow you more control over listing your Amazon S3 multipart uploads. These parameters work just like the corresponding parameters for listing ojects and versions in Amazon S3, and can be used to filter the returned multipart uploads.

Minor Bug Fixes
  • Validation for Amazon S3 bucket names has been improved to prevent callers from creating problematic bucket names with certain character patterns.
  • InterruptedExceptions are no longer silently ignored, and instead are rethrown as the cause of an AmazonClientException.
