Release: AWS SDK for iOS 1.4.3

Amazon S3 now supports Cross-Origin Resource Sharing (CORS). CORS defines a way in which client web applications that are loaded in one domain can interact with or access resources in a different domain. With CORS support in Amazon S3, you can build rich client-side web applications on top of Amazon S3 and selectively allow cross-domain access to your Amazon S3 resources.

The Reserved Instance Marketplace now provides AWS customers the flexibility to sell their Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) Reserved Instances to other businesses and organizations. Customers can browse the Reserved Instance Marketplace to find an even wider selection of Reserved Instance term lengths and pricing options sold by other AWS customers.

As your needs change, the Reserved Instance Marketplace gives you the flexibility to sell the remainder of your existing Reserved Instances at the price you select. After a buyer purchases your Reserved Instance and AWS receives payment, funds will be deposited via ACH wire transfer into your bank account and you will receive an email notification.

You can also now shop the Reserved Instance Marketplace to purchase Reserved Instances outside the standard one-year and three-year term lengths. Amazon EC2 Instances purchased on the Reserved Instance Marketplace offer the same capacity reservations as Reserved Instances purchased directly from AWS.

You can now configure a termination policy that Auto Scaling will use when selecting an instance to terminate. This policy is used when reducing the size of your Auto Scaling group or rebalancing it across Availability Zones. By default, Auto Scaling uses a default termination policy when selecting instances to terminate. With this release, you can opt to specify a termination policy of your own. For more information, see Instance Termination Policy for Your Auto Scaling Group.

All sample apps have been updated to show how to use the SDK in an asynchronous manner. The S3_Uploader sample shows multiple methods for calling the SDK asynchronously.

Fixed an issue with the signature version 4 signer.

Fixed a problem in the S3 client that would report an incorrect region for buckets created in eu-west-1 via the AWS conole.

Added ability to set endpoint for AWS Persistance Framework for Core Data to use different AWS regions.

While the rest of the AWS SDK for iOS still support iOS versions 4.1 and later, the AWS Persistence Framework for Core Data only supports iOS versions 5.0 and later.

Uploading large objects to Amazon S3 using 3G can fail frequently. The release of iOS v6 resolves this issue.

• Bucket names can include '+' symbols in the name, but the '+' symbol does not get replaced in URL encodings and can result in spaces in bucket names instead.
• It is possible to create an object with a key which includes characters that are not valid XML characters, which will cause an error in the response to the AmazonS3Client listObjects method.
