Myriad Group is a French-Swiss software company that builds and markets a variety of applications and user-interface software for cellphone operators. It also markets its own social networking app, Versy, directly to Latin American consumers. The Zurich-based company, which launched in 2009 through the merger of two other firms, struggled with outdated IT software that was inefficient and costly. The company moved its IT operations to AWS, consolidating 16 different technology systems down to one. It also saw dramatic efficiency gains with Versy, launching a new version of the product with just 12 people instead of the 120 who may have been involved under the prior IT infrastructure, and has been able to grow the Versy user base from 38 million users to 170 million users in about one year.
