Behind the Scenes with Runscope "Scale-Oriented Architecture"
Speakers: John Sheehan, CEO and Ryan Park, Senior Infrastructure Engineer - Runscope provides API testing and debugging tools to help software developers build better applications. When Runscope started less than 2 years ago, we designed our architecture around "microservices" before it became a buzzword. Our application is built on dozens of small services, connected through HTTP APIs, and maintained by a small but growing engineering team. Along the way we've learned a lot of lessons about developing, scaling and operating microservices. We'll show how architectural choices like queues and proxies can help your services stay robust and reliable. We'll discuss deployment and automation strategies that will help you adapt to a rapidly changing infrastructure. Lastly, we'll discuss the continuous integration and deployment techniques that have allowed us to ship code almost a hundred times a day.
