AWS Start-Up Challenge Prizes
Based on applications received by September 25, 2009 and the completion of the first judging round, finalists will be chosen to participate in the final judging event. In December, these finalists will be flown to San Jose, CA, USA for the final judging round and final event. At the final event, one grand prize winner will be announced.
Grand Prize
- $50,000 Cash
- $50,000 Credit toward Amazon Web Services
- 4 one-hour mentoring sessions from an Amazon Web Services technical expert
- 1 year of AWS Premium Gold Support
- Ongoing promotion at industry events, press exposure/interviews, AWS case study and other related promotion
Prizes for Finalists
- $5,000 in AWS credits
- A professionally developed video, filmed at the finalist’s place of business, and posted on the AWS website
- Exposure and promotion on AWS website
- Promotion in contest press release and other press activities
- Airfare and hotel accommodations in San Jose, CA, USA
- Featured at the AWS Start-Up Challenge final event in San Jose, CA, USA with Amazon executives, industry leaders, and venture capital firms.
Prizes for All Entrants
All eligible entrants completing the application form will receive $25 in AWS credits.
Bonus Prize for Use of Amazon Payments
The AWS Start-Up Challenge finalist with the most creative monetization model using Amazon Flexible Payments Service (FPS) or Simple Pay from Amazon Payments will receive $5,000 in cash and $5,000 in Amazon Payments credits. All finalists using these payment services will receive $2,500 in Amazon Payments credits and will also be included in various promotional activities. All US-based applications are eligible for the Amazon Payments prize.
