Announcing new features in AWS Activate: Startup Blog, Startup Spotlight, and the Amazon Toolbox

Posted on: May 14, 2014

We're excited to announce new features through the AWS Activate program:

  • AWS Startup Blog and Startup Spotlight. The new AWS Startup Blog will include technical tips from AWS experts, guidance from partners, and the Startup Spotlight series featuring stories, experiences, and lessons learned from startups building on AWS. We launched the blog as a collection on Medium.com, itself a startup on AWS, and our first Startup Spotlight is a Q&A between our CTO Werner Vogels and their CTO Don Neufeld. Read it here. You can also read this post from startup veteran turned AWS Solutions Architect Chris Munns on the importance of logs. You can find these and all future posts in our collection.
  • New exclusive offers. As a member of AWS Activate, you have access to exclusive offers from third parties that can add valuable tools to your startup. We've recenly added three new offers from CloudCheckr, JumpCloud, and Cloudlytics. Learn more about these offers.
  • Amazon Toolbox. In addition to offers from third parties, we are excited to announce exclusive offers from across the Amazon ecosystem. The Amazon Toolbox now includes offers from Amazon Payments and AWS Marketplace. With Amazon Payments, customers can easily login and pay on your site using the information already stored in their Amazon account. Members of AWS Activate are eligible to receive free payment processing on up to $100,000 in their first transactions over 12 months. AWS Marketplace is an online store that provides an easy way for companies to market and sell their software to AWS customers. Members of AWS Activate are eligible to receive up to $5,000 in co-marketing funding when they launch a paid AMI in Marketplace. Learn more about these offers.
