AWS OpsWorks supports Amazon RDS
We are pleased to announce that you can now use Amazon RDS with AWS OpsWorks. Amazon RDS gives you access to the capabilities of a familiar MySQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or PostgreSQL database engine and manages time-consuming database administration tasks, freeing you up to focus on your applications and business.
With today's announcement, you can register RDS databases to use with your OpsWorks applications. Configuration details such as the database endpoint are automatically made available to your application servers. To get started, create an RDS DB instance, and then in your OpsWorks stack add the RDS DB instance as a layer and associate it with your applications.
