AWS Storage Gateway API calls are now available in AWS CloudTrail

Posted on: Dec 16, 2014

We are pleased to announce AWS Storage Gateway is now integrated with AWS CloudTrail. AWS CloudTrail is a service that records AWS API calls for your account and delivers log files to you. With CloudTrail, you can get a history of AWS API calls for your account, including API calls made via the AWS Management Console, AWS SDKs, command line tools, and higher-level AWS services (such as AWS CloudFormation). The AWS API call history produced by CloudTrail enables security analysis, resource change tracking, and compliance auditing.

If you are already using AWS CloudTrail you will start seeing Storage Gateway API calls in your CloudTrail log. If you haven't turned on AWS CloudTrail for your account, you can turn on CloudTrail from the AWS Management Console in as few as two clicks. There is no additional charge for CloudTrail, but standard rates for Amazon S3 and Amazon SNS usage apply. Please visit the AWS CloudTrail detail page or the AWS Storage Gateway user guide to learn more.
