Amazon DynamoDB Global Tables Regional Expansion
Amazon DynamoDB global tables is now available in the Asia Pacific (Singapore) Region. With global tables, you can give massively scaled, global applications local access to an Amazon DynamoDB table for fast read and write performance. You can also use global tables to replicate DynamoDB table data to additional AWS Regions for higher availability.
Global tables builds upon the global footprint of DynamoDB to provide you a fully managed, multi-region, multi-master database. It enables you to replicate table updates automatically across the AWS Regions you select. Global tables can be set up with just a few clicks in the AWS Management Console or by using the AWS SDK. There are no upfront costs or long-term commitments required. You pay only for the resources you provision.
DynamoDB global tables is now available in the US East (N. Virginia), US East (Ohio), US West (Oregon), EU (Frankfurt), EU (Ireland), and Asia Pacific (Singapore) Regions.
