AWS Config Introduces New Lower Pricing for AWS Config Rules
AWS Config, a service that enables you to assess, audit, and evaluate the configurations of your AWS resources is introducing a new tiered pricing model for AWS Config Rules, effective immediately.
With the new tiered pricing model for AWS Config Rules, your costs can decrease based on the number of active Config Rules per region across your AWS accounts. The new model allows you to use AWS Config Rules at scale with per Config Rules price as low as $1 per rule per region per month at higher usage tiers. Prior to this new pricing model, AWS Config Rules were charged a flat price per rule per region per month.
The price of AWS Config for recording Configuration Items remains unchanged, as this new pricing model is applicable for AWS Config Rules only.
