AWS AppSync Now Supports Tagging GraphQL APIs

Posted on: Apr 25, 2019

Starting today, you can assign tags to GraphQL APIs in AWS AppSync. Tags are an easy and convenient way to categorize and track cost allocation for operations such as queries, mutations, and real-time updates.

A tag is a label that you assign to a GraphQL API. Each tag consists of a key and a value. You can use tags to organize your resources or to track your AWS costs on a detailed level. For example, when you add a tag of Department: Sales to a GraphQL API, it shows up in the AWS Billing Management Console as a cost allocation tag. It can then be used for filtering and grouping cost and usage using Cost Explorer. You can assign, remove, or list tags using AWS Management Console and AWS CLI or SDKs. Visit our documentation to learn more about setting up tags for GraphQL APIs.
