Amazon Comprehend launches multi-label custom classification

Posted on: Jan 6, 2020

Amazon Comprehend now supports multi-label custom classification. With multi-label classification you can train models and classify your documents with more than one label. Prior to this launch, custom classification supported multi-class classification, which is used to assign a single unique label to your documents. You now have additional options to meet the needs of your application.

Amazon Comprehend is a fully managed natural language processing (NLP) service that enables text analytics to extract insights about the content of documents. Comprehend supports custom classification and enables your specific requirements without the skillset required to build machine learning-based NLP solutions. Using automatic machine learning, or AutoML, Comprehend Custom builds customized NLP models on your behalf, using data you already have.

Amazon Comprehend multi-label classification is now available in all AWS regions where Amazon Comprehend is available. To try the new feature, log in to the Amazon Comprehend console for a code-free experience, or download the AWS SDK. You can also learn more about this new feature in the documentation
