Amazon DynamoDB global tables are now available in the Asia Pacific (Mumbai), Canada (Central), EU (Paris), and South America (Sao Paulo) Regions. With global tables, you can give massively scaled, global applications local access to a DynamoDB table for fast read and write performance. You also can use global tables to replicate DynamoDB table data to additional AWS Regions for higher availability and disaster recovery.

Global tables build upon the global footprint of DynamoDB to deliver a fully managed, multi-region, multi-master database. Global tables enable you to replicate table updates automatically across the AWS Regions you select, and you can set them up at any time with just a few clicks in the AWS Management Console or by using the AWS SDK.

With this launch, DynamoDB global tables are now available in the US East (Ohio), US East (N. Virginia), US West (N. California), US West (Oregon), Asia Pacific (Mumbai), Asia Pacific (Seoul), Asia Pacific (Singapore), Asia Pacific (Sydney), Asia Pacific (Tokyo), Canada (Central), EU (Frankfurt), EU (Ireland), EU (London), EU (Paris), South America (Sao Paulo), AWS GovCloud (US-East), and AWS GovCloud (US-West) Regions.
