NoSQL Workbench for DynamoDB adds support for Linux

Posted on: May 4, 2020

NoSQL Workbench for Amazon DynamoDB is a client-side application that helps developers build scalable, high-performance data models, and simplifies query development and testing. Starting today, NoSQL Workbench is available for Ubuntu 12.04, Fedora 21, Debian 8, and any newer versions of these Linux distributions, in addition to Windows and macOS.

DynamoDB is a fully managed NoSQL database service that provides fast and predictable performance with seamless scalability. Designing scalable, flexible data models is essential to using nonrelational databases. With NoSQL Workbench, developers can easily build new data models from scratch, or import and modify existing data models. Developers also can visualize data models based on their applications' access patterns and export models in several different formats.

NoSQL Workbench also provides query development features to view, explore, and query datasets. You can use the tool's structured operation builder to perform data-plane operations and generate sample code in multiple languages. In addition, you can connect to your DynamoDB local instance, the downloadable version of DynamoDB, directly from NoSQL Workbench to develop and test your DynamoDB applications in your local development environment without incurring any additional costs.
