Amazon CodeGuru Reviewer is a developer tool that leverages automated reasoning and machine learning to detect potential defects that are difficult to find in your code and offers suggestions for improvements. Today, we are excited to announce, a new repository size-based pricing model with a price reduction of up to 90%, making it easier for customers to predictably scale their automated code reviews across their software development processes.

Since launch in 2020, CodeGuru has helped developers reduce technical debt and time by scanning over 100 million lines of code, expanded the functionality by adding support for Java and Python applications, integrated with major repository providers such as GitHub, GitHub Enterprise, and BitBucket and, added new detectors to enable our customers build security directly into their app development processes.

You will continue to get all the benefits of CodeGuru Reviewer including wider recommendation coverage and new types of detectors for Python code, along with a lower and easy to estimate pricing model which will simplify the way you integrate CodeGuru Reviewer across your business.

Starting today, customers will pay a fixed monthly rate determined by the total number of lines of code across all of their on-boarded repositories, independent of the number of code reviews raised on the repository. If you have a code repository with multiple code branches, you will be charged for the largest code branch. Non-code lines in repositories such as comments and empty lines are not counted. You can get started for free to review your first 100K lines of code for up to 90 days. When the 90-day free tier expires, you will be charged $10 per month for the first 100k lines of code and $30 for every additional 100K lines. The free tier and the standard fixed monthly pricing includes two full repository scans, and all incremental code reviews analysis (through pull, push or merge requests), enabling developers to maximize their chances of catching code defects before they hit production. Additional full repository scans will be charged at $10 per 100K lines of code.
