Amazon DocumentDB (with MongoDB compatibility) is a database service that is purpose-built for JSON data management at scale, fully managed and integrated with AWS, and enterprise-ready with high durability.

Today, Amazon DocumentDB announced a JDBC driver that enables connectivity from BI tools such as Tableau and MicroStrategy. Customers can also use the JDBC driver to run SQL queries against their Amazon DocumentDB cluster from tools such as SQLWorkbench. Customers can download the driver here. The Document JDBC driver is also open-source and available for the user community under the Apache 2.0 license on GitHub. Customers can use the GitHub repository to gain enhanced visibility into the driver implementation and contribute to its development.
