AWS Amplify Admin UI now allows generating seed data with Faker, and downloading data to a CSV file. This simplifies creating and managing your data in Amplify, and allows for more realistic demo data that is quickly shareable.
Using the Amplify Admin UI, developers or non-developers never have to touch the AWS console to view their app’s data. They can simply create a data model directly from the Admin UI, and manage their data in the same place. Modifying your data or your data model is just a few clicks away, and with our new features it’s even simpler than before to manage your app’s data.
To seed data that looks realistic and matches your needs, simply navigate to the Content tab in your Admin UI. Select “Seed data” from the Actions dropdown, and choose your constraints. To download this data, you can either select your desired rows, or choose “Download results” in the Actions tab to download all rows of data. After selecting this a CSV download will begin.
These two new data management capabilities for the Amplify Admin UI is fully hosted and available in 17 AWS Regions: US East (N. Virginia), US East (Ohio), US West (Oregon), US West (N. California), Asia Pacific (Mumbai), Asia Pacific (Seoul), Asia Pacific (Singapore), Asia Pacific (Sydney), Asia Pacific (Tokyo), Canada (Central), EU (Frankfurt), EU (Ireland), EU (London), EU (Paris), EU (Stockholm), South America (São Paulo), and Middle East (Bahrain).
