AWS Control Tower announces a new progress tracker that depicts milestones and related statuses of the landing zone setup and upgrade process. A landing zone is a well-architected, multi-account AWS environment that is a starting point from which you can deploy workloads and applications. AWS Control Tower automates the setup of a new landing zone using AWS best-practices blueprints for identity, federated access, logging, monitoring, and account structure.

The new progress tracker depicts the status (Not Started, In Progress, Success) of key milestones in the resource deployment and configuration workflows of the landing zone, such as updating the shared accounts for logging, configuring Account Factory to provision member accounts, or enabling mandatory controls. Showing the progress milestones gives you transparency into where you are in the landing zone setup or upgrade process and provides detail about the time left to complete the process.

This new feature is available in all AWS Regions where AWS Control Tower is available. For a full list of AWS Regions where AWS Control Tower is available, see the AWS Region Table.
