Amazon ECS, Amazon EKS, and AWS App Mesh now support AWS Outposts

Posted on: Dec 3, 2019

Amazon ECS, Amazon EKS, and AWS App Mesh now support AWS Outposts, a fully managed service that extends AWS infrastructure, and tools to virtually any datacenter, co-location space, or on-premises facility for a consistent hybrid experience.

AWS customers can now leverage Amazon ECS and EKS to run containers in customer locations using AWS Outposts for applications and datasets with latency dependencies. By deploying on Outposts, customers can extend the AWS tooling, and performance to on-premises. AWS App Mesh can be configured to provide consistent communication control logic for services across AWS Outposts and AWS cloud to simplify hybrid application networking. Customers can centrally manage ECS, EKS, App Mesh, and their container environments both on Outposts and in the AWS cloud with the same AWS console and API framework for a unified operational model.
