AWS Managed Service Program Partner Validation Checklist, Version 2.0

Guest post by Kelly Hartman, AWS Global Segment Leader, MSPs

At re:Invent 2014, we announced the launch of the AWS Managed Service Program. The Program provides APN Consulting Partners with new opportunities to learn cloud management best practices, expand their AWS Cloud managed portfolios, and receive recognition from AWS commensurate with the experience created for customers. We are beginning to release comprehensive resources for APN Partners who’d like to participate in the Program, and I’m excited to announce the launch of the AWS Managed Service Provider Partner Validation Checklist, Version 2.0.

What is the AWS Managed Service Program Partner Validation Checklist and Process?

The AWS Managed Service Program Partner Validation checklist and validation process is in direct response to our customers’ desire to have a more standardized experience when engaging APN Partners, and to be able to identify AWS Managed Service Providers who have unique capabilities specific to their managed service practice. The checklist provides the criteria necessary to achieve the AWS Managed Service Program Partner designation and focuses on a core set of managed service capabilities that all AWS Managed Service Providers should possess, along with specific technical and business capabilities to further showcase their unique value to customers and to AWS field teams.

APN Partners interested in the AWS Managed Service Program should download the validation checklist and perform a self-assessment of their capabilities prior to filling out the program application.  The self-assessment will serve as the foundation for discussion during the validation review meeting, conducted by an independent third party firm.
