Joe Flasher is the AWS Social Responsibility and Impact Environmental Equity Lead at Amazon Web Services helping organizations most effectively achieve impact through the cloud. Joe has worked with organizations to democratize access to petabytes of environmentally-critical data, including satellite imagery, climate, and weather data. He has been working with geospatial data and open source projects for the past decade, both as a contributor and maintainer. He has been a member of the Landsat Advisory Group and has worked on projects ranging from building forest-monitoring software to making the space shuttle fly.
