With the recent news of the Australian Cyber Security Centre certifying AWS to PROTECTED – the highest data security certification available in Australia for cloud service providers – many public sector customers in the region want to know how to get started on the cloud. Despite its abundance of natural resources, Colombia has the fourth highest rate of deforestation worldwide. The U.S. Navy and SAP National Security Services (SAP NS2) migrated their largest SAP enterprise resource planning (ERP) system – 72,000 users spread across six U.S. Navy commands – to the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud. The milestone — which came 10 months ahead of schedule — will put the movement and documentation of some $70 billion worth of parts and goods into one accessible space, so the information can be shared, analyzed, and protected more uniformly.

University Hospitals of North Midlands Trust’s Breast Care Unit approached Redmoor Health to discuss innovative ways to improve patient engagement. Turning to social media, the Health Innovation Campus at Lancaster University, Redmoor Health, and the National Health Service (NHS), began using Facebook to reach the at-risk demographic (women 49+ years old). Through this collaboration, they saw the number of patients attending vital breast screening appointments increase by 13% – among the best in the country.

The U.S. Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) successfully migrated five applications to AWS GovCloud (US) under the Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) hosting support contract with help from Credence Management Solutions, LLC., an AWS Partner Network (APN) consulting partner in the AWS Public Sector Partner Program. Working with AWS Professional Services, Credence migrated all five applications in just 138 days – almost six weeks ahead of schedule – using CloudEndure Migration.

United Arab Emirates-based global EdTech Alef Education is on a mission to digitally transform the education sector to support its most valuable resource: teachers. The United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Institute for Statistics estimates that the world needs almost 69 million new teachers by 2030 to meet the deadline of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal for quality education. But according to latest projections, the world will fail its education commitments without addressing the teacher shortage.
